Our Middle Room (photos to follow)
While active learning takes place throughout the school, we also have a designated space, used by all children, know as the Middle Room. Here, children have 'Independent Learning Passports' where they develop their knowledge, skills and understanding through hands-on activities. There are elements of personalisation and choice, as well as breadth and challenge. The activities are at a level appropriate to each child's stage of development and there is a section in the passport for them to evaluate their learning and plan their own next steps. The children are often highly engaged and eagerly discuss their learning with others.
